as suvs continue to multiply in automakers' lineups, filling niche spots that didn't exist a few years ago, audi announced the debut of yet another compact suv and renewed its commitment to electric vehicles.
audi says the new q4 e-tron concept "provides a glimpse of the next stage of audi electric mobility." the brand's current e-tron suv was unveiled as a production model in september; it's estimated to have around 200 miles of electric range, and the automaker is taking orders for spring delivery.
audi has a history of rolling out production-intent e-tron badged concept vehicles — the last one was in november at the 2018 los angeles auto show. the e-tron gt concept, meanwhile, is a sleek electric sedan, of which the production version will debut in around two years, according to the brand.
this new q4 e-tron concept will meet the public at the 2019 geneva international auto show, and audi says something like it will eventually see production in late 2020 or early 2021. check out the teaser sketches and stay tuned for more information when the vehicle makes its debut at the geneva show march 5.
