  • you remember that corvettes and sinkholes don't mix, from that time one opened up at the national corvette museum and swallowed up some classics.
  • well, it happened again, this time in massachusetts, as capecod.com reported.
  • firefighters helped the hapless vette out of the hole, as you see below.

it wasn't that long ago—2014, in fact—when a sinkhole opened up in the hallowed ground of the national corvette museum and swallowed up a collection of eight chevy corvettes. they were eventually rescued, of course, but who would ever imagine history like that could repeat itself?

but it (almost) has. in the town of harwich, massachusetts, a corvette got itself caught in the maw of a 15-foot-wide sinkhole earlier today. as capecod.com reported and caught on video, this black convertible corvette was rescued by firefighters using "a heavy-duty wrecker."

happily, there was no damage. it's interesting, though, that the older model of corvette convertible was attacked by the very ground it stood on, only hours before the new 2020 corvette convertible launched in florida.
