chevrolet is trying to get you excited about its upcoming electric vehicles. the automaker has already teased an upcoming electric pickup truck and provided a few sneak peeks at the bolt euv's dashboard and silhouette. the company has also announced that the larger bolt crossover will be its first vehicle with gm's super cruise self-driving tech. now it's sharing a glimpse at the upcoming electric crossover's led signature lights.

there will be two chevrolet bolts—both electric—for the 2022 model year. the bolt ev will be an update of the existing hatchback model, and the bolt euv will be a new electric crossover. the signature lights we're seeing here are those of the larger bolt euv, but we can expect the smaller hatch's to look similar. they're sharp and thin, they tail off with a blacked-out "bolt euv" badge, and they'll feature a sequential turn signal and led daytime running lights. the car's headlights will be below them.

both bolts will be built on gm's bev2 electric-vehicle platform instead of the ultium battery platform. the larger euv will have the option of gm's super cruise self-driving tech, which now can be operated on more than 200,000 miles of roads in the u.s. and canada. it also now allows drivers to engage an automated lane change by using the turn-signal stalk. there is no word currently on either model's battery capacity or range.

the new electric vehicles are slated to go into production next summer and should arrive by the end of the year. we'll know more about chevy's new evs in the coming months.
