when it comes to henrik fisker, seeing is the only form of believing. fisker has a track record of not delivering on the cars he's promised. this year has seen a trickle of news about fisker's latest endeavor, the all-electric ocean, a project announced in march and officially named in october. now the company says a prototype of the luxury suv will make its debut at the ces technology show in early january.

fisker also released this more revealing image of the upcoming ev along with the press release of the news, showing that it has a body shape that resembles the range rover evoque with a low and sporty profile. no dimensions were released.

fisker is teaming up with electrify america, the charging-tech company that is also associated with volkswagen's dieselgate settlement. the partnership will allow fisker owners to receive a limited amount of complimentary charging from the electrify america network, although fisker models will also be compatible with most ev charging stations.

this past summer, fisker announced that the ev will cost less than $40,000, and then earlier this fall claimed that the ocean will have a range of almost 300 miles on one charge. the company says that the car will go into production in late 2021, with deliveries slated for the following year.
