Animated Porsche Taycan Concept Co-Stars with Playmobil Toys in New Movie
  • the porsche mission e, the concept version of the all-new electric-powered porsche taycan, is featured in playmobil: the movie.
  • the movie reaches u.s. screens this friday, december 6.
  • the turbo and turbo s taycan will become available in the u.s. later this year, and the 4s will reach u.s. markets in the spring of next year.

the spy protagonist of a movie has to drive a hot car—that has been true since at least the first james bond movie. that spy driving an electric vehicle may seem more like a punchline than the exciting part of the plot. but in playmobil: the movie, the porsche mission e, the concept version of the porsche taycan, assumes the role as the car of secret agent rex dasher. the fact that dasher is made out of plastic is beside the point. besides, even james bond has had an electric car.

the movie is the first film project of porsche and playmobil, which makes sense for a german toymaker whose first licensed product was a porsche. the movie was released in france this summer and is coming to u.s. movie screens on friday, december 6.
