for 2021, mazda has given the cx-9 slight updates to keep the 10best-winning three-row suv competitive in an increasingly crowded field. for this coming year, a 10.3-inch infotainment screen will come standard, and a new carbon edition trim with unique styling will be offered.
the updated cx-9 sees a small bump in price for this coming year. the entry-level sport trim, now $35,060, increases by $70, while the higher grand touring, now $43,040, gets a price increase of nearly $400. all-wheel drive remains a $1900 option on all the vehicles except for the signature trim, which only comes with all-wheel drive.
new for 2021 is a carbon edition trim level which builds on the touring trim with the premium package. it comes with 20-inch aluminum wheels, polymetal gray exterior paint, and gloss-black exterior trim, with red leather seats inside. the carbon edition also features ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel, a 7.0-inch gauge display, and an eight-way power adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support.
the 2021 cx-9 should reach dealer lots later this month.
