- chevrolet took the wraps off the hotly anticipated 2021 suburban and tahoe, its full-size suv siblings, in detroit this evening.
- here are the full details on both.
chevy is showing the all-new suburban and tahoe at little caesars arena in detroit, michigan, tonight. these full-size suvs are redesigned for 2021 and both adopt the polarizing front end from the new silverado 1500 pickup.
these new vehicles are more revolutionary than evolutionary because they have a new independent rear suspension. this increases cargo space and legroom in the second and third rows, with the tahoe claiming a 10-inch increase in third-row legroom. each has a longer wheelbase than its predecessor, too.
the sporty-ish rst trim level returns, with 22-inch wheels and other bits of exterior and interior trim. there are also premier, z71, and high country trim levels.
these suvs are available with all manner of screens including a 10.0-inch infotainment screen, a digital gauge cluster, a head-up display, and two rear entertainment screens.
the 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter v-8 engines remain available, and the duramax turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six is an exciting addition to the lineup.
we'll have full details and lots more photos at 8 p.m. eastern time. until then, enjoy our live photos from the reveal event.
