    acura has completely redesigned the tlx for 2021, and the new model will make its racing debut on august 30 at this year's pikes peak hill climb. two slightly modified acura tlx sedans equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engines will compete in the event in the exhibition class, while a prototype tlx type s with a new turbocharged 3.0-liter v-6 will serve as the pace car for the event.

    the two base four-cylinder tlx sh-awd sedans racing in the event have have been modified with a bigger turbocharger and intercooler, as well as larger brakes taken from the type s, 19-inch pirelli racing tires, and a retuned suspension. acura isn't saying exactly how much power these modified versions make, but the non-modified version of the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four puts out 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque in the base 2021 tlx.
