2020 Mazda 6 Pricing Rises, Still No Word on Diesel or AWD
  • mazda has released information about the 2020 mazda 6 mid-size sedan, including pricing.
  • all trim levels rise by $200, and there are a few small tweaks including a new key fob and a new trunklid badge for the top signature trim.
  • the 2020 mazda 6 goes on sale this fall starting at $24,920 for the base sport trim.

after dropping its manual transmission for the 2019 model year (sadly), the mazda 6 mid-size sedan is mostly unchanged for 2020. it carries on with a slight price uptick of $200 for all five trim levels and gets a new key fob and a new badge for the top signature model. there's no word yet on the addition of all-wheel drive and a diesel engine that mazda talked about earlier this year.

although mazda hasn't released many pictures of the 2020 6, we're guessing that the new key fob design is shared with the mazda 3 and the signature badge is the same as what's found on the cx-5 (both are pictured).

the 6's $24,920 sport, $27,520 touring, and $30,620 grand touring models continue on with a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline-four engine making 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission. the $33,120 grand touring reserve and $36,220 signature gain a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, also through a six-speed automatic. mazda has said it plans to offer the 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine from the cx-5 diesel in the 6 at some point, but isn't releasing information at this point.

while we wait for more news on those new powertrain options, the 2020 mazda 6 in its current form will start arriving at dealerships this fall.
