approximately 104,000 model-year 2018 mercedes-benz c300 sedans, coupes and cabriolets; c350e plug-in hybrids; mercedes-amg c43 coupes and cabriolets; mercedes-amg c63 coupes and cabriolets; c63 s sedans, coupes and cabriolets; model-year 2018-19 mercedes-benz glc300 and glc300 coupe suvs; mercedes-benz glc350e hybrid suvs; mercedes-amg glc63, glc63 coupe and glc63 s suvs; and mercedes-amg glc43 and glc43 coupe suvs, all equipped with audio 20 head units and automatic child-seat recognition

the problem: the status of the passenger-side airbag may not display correctly. if the passenger airbag is incorrectly displayed as on when it is not, front-seat passengers may be unaware that the airbag won't deploy in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

the fix: dealers will update the audio head unit software for free.
