Approximately 14,200 model-year 2016-18 Infinti Q50 sedans and model-year 2017 Q60 coupes, all equipped with a 2.0-liter Used Engine
The Problem: Incorrect fuel pump control module software may allow the fuel level in the main tank to be too low to supply fuel to the Used Engine , causing it to stall while the vehicle is in motion and increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will reprogram the fuel pump control module with corrected software for free.
What Owners Should Do: Infiniti manufacturer Nissan will begin notifying owners Aug. 21. Owners can call Infiniti at 800-662-6200, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
