— When we took to the drag strip with a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, it wasn't the only asphalt-torching car that Dodge had on hand. Dodge also Demonized the Challenger Hellcat with the Hellcat Widebody, a variant that's new for 2018. And yes, we drove it, too.
The Hellcat has a mere 707 horsepower — 133 hp less than the Demon — but it takes a lot of functional cues from the Demon, including flared fenders and beefier tires to improve traction. True to its name, it's 3.5 inches wider than the regular Hellcat. Is that just what the witch doctor ordered?
