Mercedes-Benz Tease Reaffirms G-Class Will Be Blowing Into Detroit
2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class

Here we have our first official look at the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class without camouflage — but artfully obscured by snow. It's topical considering the heavy snowfall that occurred in much of the eastern U.S. earlier this week. After all, who wouldn't like a G-Wagen as their preferred transportation in such awful weather?

Of course, all the teasing feels extra since we've seen the whole thing already. Official images of the interior were released in December, and the camouflage in the official off-roading shots (see the related link above) is largely ineffective at disguising significant changes to the exterior. It also appears there aren't any major exterior changes — because why change an iconic design your fan base already seems to love?

On top of all that, alleged official images have leaked and been published in other outlets, and while we can't confirm for certain that those images are legit, they certainly look like they could be.

But just because there's little, if any, mystery left to be uncovered about the G-Wagen doesn't mean there's nothing to get excited over. For starters: There's a new G-Wagen. We'll have all the official details after the G-Class reveal the week of Jan. 14 at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, so check back in often.
