2020 Lincoln Aviator Prices Go Sky-High
2020 lincoln aviator

the 2020 lincoln aviator certainly has promise, with a stylish exterior, well-appointed interior and 400 horsepower from its standard twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter v-6 used engine — or an estimated 450 hp and 600 pounds-feet of torque for hybrid grand touring and black label grand touring models. we can't say for certain that the aviator will live up to that promise because we haven't driven one yet, but we now know what it will cost and ... hoo-boy, it had better deliver a lot.

2020 aviators will start at $52,195 for the standard model (all prices include a $1,095 destination fee). prices for the three-row suv will rocket all the way to a stratospheric $88,895 for a black label grand touring mode.

in between those bookends are three more models: reserve, grand touring and black label. reserve models will start at $57,285, grand touring aviators are priced from $69,895 and the ultra-luxe black label will start at $78,790. it's a $12,000-plus jump to get the hybrid powertrain (in the grand touring), and then for an extra $9,000 or so, you lose the extra power but gain all the luxury of lincoln's black label series of vehicles.

we think the aviator could set the benchmark for premium three-row suvs and take a shot at luxury three-row offerings from the likes of bmw and mercedes-benz — and this pricing confirms that lincoln thinks so, too. competitors like the infiniti qx60 and acura mdx start in the mid-$40,000 range; the mercedes-benz gle starts in the mid-$50,000s and the bmw x5 in the low-$60,000s.
