the impreza was fully redesigned for 2017 and is offered in sedan and hatchback versions ($500 more for any model). trim levels in ascending order of price are 2.0i, 2.0i premium, sport and limited. all have a 152-horsepower, 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder and all-wheel drive. all offer a continuously variable automatic transmission with a paddle-shifter manual mode that mimics seven gear steps; the base and sport trim levels have a five-speed manual transmission standard.
the major feature change for 2019 is that subaru now will offer its eyesight safety system with automatic emergency braking and other driver assist technology on all trim levels and will make it standard on the top limited model. the newly optional eyesight for the 2.0i base model will be part of an $845 package for cars that also have the $1,000 cvt. the package also includes an upgraded driver information display, an overhead console light and a tire pressure monitor that shows the pressure for individual wheels. subaru's eyesight is not available on the stick-shift cars.
the eyesight system is still optional on the premium trim level (in a $1,395 package that also includes blind spot protection, rear cross-traffic alert and steering-responsive foglights) and sport cars equipped with the cvt (in a $2,945 package that includes the eyesight tech plus a moonroof and premium harmon kardon audio).

the top limited model will start at $25,880, a price bump of $825, and is now standard with standard eyesight as well as the cvt, automatic high beams, rear automatic braking, led headlights and leather interior trim.
