2018 Lexus RC F, GS F 10th Anniversary Editions to Bow in Chicago

2018 Lexus RC F, GS F 10th Anniversary Editions to Bow in Chicago
2018 Lexus RC F 10th Anniversary Special Edition

Lexus is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its F line of performance vehicles with two limited-production, special-edition versions of its two current F cars: the RC F and GS F. The sports cars will wear an exclusive matte-gray paint, the first matte-painted Lexuses since the LFA supercar — of which there are still some for sale as new cars, sort of. And, lucky for buyers of these special-edition cars, the matte paint is specially designed to withstand things like automatic car washes.

The rest of the exterior treatment is equally subtle: Black 19-inch rims sit in front of bright blue brake calipers. Everything else is identical to less special F cars.

The interior gets an F-line blue treatment with blue carbon fiber along the window switch panels and dashboard. Front sport seats in both cars are wrapped in blue leather with white trim; the steering wheel, shift knob and center console get blue accents, as well. The significant difference between the two cars' interiors is the headliner, with the RC F featuring an embossed headliner not available in the GS F.

The interiors will also feature engraved plaques to authenticate the limited nature of the two vehicles; 100 special-edition GS F sedans will be available, while there will be 240 special-edition RC Fs available — the same as the number of Lexus dealerships in the U.S.

Interested in buying either a 10th anniversary RC F or GS F? Pricing information hasn't been released yet, but Lexus notes that each will require additional option packages when ordering, so they won't come cheap.
