First, there's a new base Used Engine under the hood: A 3.3-liter V-6 makes 290 horsepower and 265 pounds-feet of torque, and it's the only Used Engine in the 2018 lineup paired with a six-speed automatic transmission — the rest are mated to a 10-speed automatic. No details are yet known regarding the upcoming diesel Used Engine ; that's slated to go on sale later in 2018.

Outside, the rest of the changes are cosmetic. Shoppers will have a number of different grilles to choose from depending on trim level, and within each grille style, there are various packages that will change the appearance even further. If you're the type of person who tries to identify other cars and trucks by the front-end appearance ... well, good luck.

Inside, the changes are minimal. King Ranch F-150s will have a luxurious interior with the typical Western theme, whereas Limited-trim trucks look more high-tech. Even the lower-end XLT's interior looks nice — a good thing given that one could cost you around $44,000 depending on your option choices. We're still not fans of the design of the front seats themselves, which is unfortunate because there are no structural changes to the seats across trim levels.
