2017 Chrysler Pacifica: Recall Alert
2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 154,000 model-year 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivans

The Problem: Under a rare set of conditions, the Used Engine control module may incorrectly assess the Used Engine 's operating status, potentially causing the Used Engine to stall and increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said most of the reported issues occurred at idle or while starting, turning or driving at low, steady speeds. FCA added that most were singular events that occurred over thousands of miles of travel, and customers were able to restart their vehicles immediately afterward. FCA said it is aware of a single potentially related accident and unaware of any potentially related injuries.

The Fix: Dealers will update the Used Engine control software for free.

What Owners Should Do: FCA did not immediately announce an owner notification schedule. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403 to learn more.
